Trade promotion activities: to support, promote and consume OCOP products

Could you tell us the results of implementing the OCOP program in Hanoi in 2019?

To implement the program of One commune One product, the City People's Committee has established a Program Steering Committee, a Council and an Advisory Advisory Group to evaluate and classify products (OCOP) at the city level until 2020. At the same time, issued the plan 3629 dated July 8, 2019 on the implementation of the program of one product per commune in Hanoi city to 2020 with the main goal of successfully implementing OCOP program and products of enterprises. be well received by consumers.

Up to now, the whole city has 18/30 districts, towns which have been assessed and classified for 301 products by the City Council. Including: 06 potential 5-star products, 207 4-star products, 88 03-star products. According to the overall assessment, Hanoi has 1,350 craft villages and craft villages, accounting for the number of craft villages nationwide, bringing together 47 craft villages out of 52 craft villages across the country. There are over 7,215 local products. Many village products and handicrafts have been exported to international markets. Over 5000 agricultural products and foodstuffs have been tagged with QRCOS traceability. This is a great advantage for Hanoi City in evaluating and classifying OCOP products.

With such great potential, could you tell us a plan to promote, trade and support businesses - OCOP products to consumers?

In order to support OCOP products and regional specialties to access Hanoi market, in 2019, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has organized 4 events connecting regional specialty consumption and OCOP products in the district. Thuong Tin, Big C Thang Long, and Trinh Cong Son walking street, festival products villages and agricultural products. From 11 to 17/1/2020 at Thong Nhat Park - Hanoi, there will be an introduction fair honoring OCOP products. In the coming time, with a series of events to support the promotion and consumption of OCOP products together with the propaganda support of the media, we hope to bring new values to OCOP products of Ha Cabinet in particular and the whole country.

Which difficulties in implementing OCOP products development in Hanoi City? Plans coming up?

Many products are manufactured on a small scale. Some key products of the locality have not built a brand yet. Products consumed in rudimentary form, technology content in products is low. The competitiveness is not high.
In 2020, we will focus on completing the plan and effectively implementing the direction of the National OCOP Program in Hanoi, including: 06 OCOP introduction events associated with the region. Develop some introduction points to promote OCOP products associated with tourism village such as Van Phuc, Bat Trang, Sai Son, Duong Lam. There are also a number of other large and small events taking place this year. I believe that with great effort and determination, Hanoi will successfully implement OCOP Hanoi's program and products which are well received by the market.
