Hanoi - January 8, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) held a meeting to evaluate the results of implementing the program of one commune one product (OCOP) in 2019 to implement in 2020.

As a result, 61 provinces and cities have approved schemes and plans, the total number of OCOP standardized products by the end of 2020 is 3,843 products (nearly 1.6 times higher than the target of 2,400 products. Products). In which, the Food group has 2,218 products, the beverage group has 397 products, the herbal group has 264 products, the garment fabric group has 100 products, the souvenir group, the interior decoration with 666 products and the service group. , travel and sales have 198 products.

Especially, there are 19 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government that have evaluated, classified and issued recognition decisions for 900 OCOP products (reaching 33.16% compared to the plan of 2,400 products) of 583 participants participating in OCOP Program, including 16 proposed 5-star products; 275 products with 4 stars and 585 products with 3 stars. The provinces that directed the sites surveyed and made lists to build 10 Tourism Culture Villages. Local authorities, after issuing certificates (GCN) of OCOP products, have seriously implemented the licensing, management of OCOP trademarks, and electronically stamped OCOP products. After being evaluated and ranked, many products have been sold by large distribution, retail, and e-commerce units: BigC, Vinmart, VNPost shopping centers, etc., the year-on-year revenue from product sales of product groups rated up significantly increased.

In the whole country, there are nearly 3,300 economic organizations registered to participate in the OCOP Program (in 2017, there were 3,126 organizations), an increase of nearly 200 economic organizations. There have been 583 economic organizations that have proposed and rated the GCN level of 3 stars or more, including: 234 Cooperatives (40.1%), 171 enterprises (29.3%), 170 opportunities production facilities / household businesses (29.2%) and 8 cooperative groups (01.4%). It is estimated that the total mobilized resources of 3,300 economic organizations to produce OCOP products will be around VND 10,015 billion.

In order to consume OCOP products, many localities have opened OCOP selling centers and points of sale according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Decision 920 / QD-BCT dated April 16, 1919) such as: Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Quang Nam, Ben Tre ... have created a positive effect to promote and consume OCOP products. In addition, a number of organizations and businesses such as Digital Communications Association, Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost), Viettel Post Corporation deploy e-commerce floor selling OCOP products.

In 2020, striving to complete the objectives and tasks under the OCOP Program approved by the Prime Minister in Decision 490/QD-TTg on May 7, 2018, specifically: Standardization, additional recognition at least 1,200 products to reach the goal of 2,400 products. Organizing the evaluation and ranking of national products for the first time in the third quarter. Deploying from 8 to 10 models of the Culture and Tourism Village; strive to develop new about 500 small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives to participate in OCOP Program and consolidate 100% (3,126 units) of enterprises and cooperatives participating in OCOP Program.
