Strengthening connection OCOP products and regional specialties

Hanoi - December 6, Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a seminar on 'Promoting introduction, connecting and trading OCOP products and specialties nationwide'.

The program was organized by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with the People's Committee of Tay Ho District. Speaking at the Workshop, Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, and Director of Hanoi Rural Development Sub-Department said, at present, the average growth rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery production value in the period of 2010 - 2018 of Hanoi is 3.38% / year. The whole city has 133 models of high-tech agriculture applications and these models have brought remarkable economic efficiency.

Regarding the support of connecting production, trade promotion of products along the safe food product supply chain, Hanoi promotes the connection, promotion and consumption of products for 135 link chains were built; promoting trade between Hanoi and 21 provinces and cities in the Coordination Committee of safe vegetable and meat supply chain for the city. As a result, Hanoi and its localities have built and developed 727 safe food supply chains identified under the criteria of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

In particular, in 2019, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized 4 events connecting OCOP products consumption and regional specialties highly appreciated by businesses, manufacturers and consumers.

At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing connectivity solutions in OCOP production and trading, specialty food products, typical of Hanoi city as well as regions across the country.

Workshop is an opportunity for businesses, production facilities to exchange and share difficulties and obstacles. From there, propose solutions to promote value-chain production, create regional specialty consumption channels, and further enhance the value of Capital's agriculture...
