Gia Lai businesses granted 23 overseas investment licences

At the end of the second quarter, the Ministry of Planning and Investment had issued 23 licenses to businesses in the Central Highland province of Gia Lai for overseas investments.
Of the figure, 12 investment licenses were for Cambodia with a total registered capital of US$702 million and 11 for Laos with a combined registered capital of US$559 million.
These projects are mainly investments in rubber plantations and processing and iron ore exploitation.
Vietnamese investors have so far implemented US$421 million of their planned investments in Cambodia (reaching 59.9 pc) and US$374 million in Laos (66.9 pc).
