VOV.VN - The Trade Remedies Authority has unveiled that Australia has moved to extend the final determination of its ongoing anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation into precision pipes and tube steel from Vietnam for the fifth time.

The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) also announced on July 19 the fifth extension for the same products imported from China, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan (China).

In line with the ADC's announcement, the conclusion of the final investigation will be issued on August 27, according to the Trade Remedies Authority.

Previously on June 1, the ADC had issued a preliminary investigation conclusion stating that precision steel pipes originating from Vietnam had not been dumped and did not receive any subsidies from the Vietnamese Government.

After issuing the conclusion of the investigation, the ADC will report and recommend that the Australian Minister of Industry, Science and Technology make a final decision on the case.

In addition to steel pipes, the ADC have also moved to extend the time in which to issue the final conclusion of the anti-dumping investigation case for painted steel strapping products originating from Vietnam.

This therefore marks the fourth time that the ADC have announced an extension for the time to issue the final conclusion on the case, with the final conclusion expected to be released on August 13.
