OCOP fair held at Trinh Cong Son Walking Street, Hanoi

Hanoi- In the morning of November 29, the Central New Rural Coordination Office coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Tay Ho District (Hanoi) to hold a press conference to introduce workshops, promote and connect trade OCOP products (One program per commune) and regional specialties and culinary product chains of Vietnam.

A series of promotional events introducing, connecting and trading OCOP products and regional specialties will be held from December 5 to December 8, 2019, at Trinh Cong Son Walking Street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi .

According to the Central New Rural Coordination Office, there will be about 200 booths with nearly 2,000 products of 30 provinces and cities nationwide: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh ... There are 168 booths promoting, introducing, connecting and trading OCOP products which are recognized from 3 stars above.

In addition to the OCOP product display booths, the organizers also set up a pure Vietnamese culinary culture space with typical dishes of 3 regions: North, Central and South: Thick leaf cake with leaves, cinnamon rolls, Chicken Dong. Algae - Hung Yen; Thang Co-Lao Cai, spring rolls of  Hai Phong basin; Durian sticky rice, goby hotpot, braised steamed rice, Trang Bang- Tay Ninh rice paper; Noodles in Saigon ...

The highlight of the Trinh Cong Son walking street is also the space for organizing cooking art performances of 12 regional dishes by artisans, professional chefs, culinary experts, and chefs who have won the Master Contest. Chef Vietnam performed and introduced directly. Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Dang Van Cuong, Head of OCOP Department, Central New Rural Coordination Office shared: Food space will be held at the pedestrian street. Trinh Cong Son not only introduces culinary specialties of the regions but also brings a typical cultural space of each region in the country. Thereby, not only promoting and introducing regional cuisines, but also helping the people of the capital and visitors to understand more and to love the people, cuisine and culture of Vietnam.
