In the morning of September 27, in Ha Long City, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized a Conference to review the emulation movement "The whole country worked together to build a new countryside" period 2011 - 2020.

 "The whole country worked together to build a new countryside" in the period of 2011-2020 is a great emulation movement, responded by numerous agencies, units, officials and workers. After more than 9 years of implementation, the New Rural Area program has achieved important results, fundamentally changing the rural appearance, the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. Up to now, the whole country has 4,554 communes (accounting for 51.16%) reaching the New Rural area standard, up 34.01% compared to the end of 2015; 93 district units in 37 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government (accounting for 13.7%) were recognized by the Prime Minister to complete the tasks and reach the New Rural Area standard; the national average reaches 15.26 criteria / commune; There are no communes under 5 criteria. The average income per capita in rural areas is VND 35.9 million / person / year.

                       

Up to now, the whole country has 52 provinces and cities that have approved and implemented the program of one product per commune - OCOP at the provincial level. It is expected that by 2020, there will be about 2,490 products participating in the program (the country's goal is 2,400 products). There are currently 6 provinces and cities which carry out evaluation and classification for a total of 265 OCOP products, including 7 5-star products, 100 4-star products and 158 3-star products. Other localities have been actively coordinating with the Central New Rural Area Coordinating Office to enhance the promotion and trade promotion of OCOP products ...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam praised the localities and units that have had many good, creative and effective ways to build new rural areas and restructure the Agriculture sector. Agriculture, farmers and rural areas across the country have made dramatic changes, becoming richer and stronger day by day.

Launching the emulation movement to build New Rural Areas in the next period, the Deputy Minister of MARD requested units and localities to focus on building practical emulation targets and contents; promote creation of emulation movements; synchronously implementing solutions to restructure the agriculture sector in association with renewing the growth model and building new rural centers on the basis of promoting the potential strengths of each region. At the same time, continue to do well the discovery, reward, honor and replicate the typical progress in building New Rural Area.

                        

He also called on all cadres, party members, civil servants, officials, workers, people to unite and emulate successfully accomplish the goal of building New Rural Area, strive to 2025, the GDP growth rate the whole Agriculture sector is about 3-3.2% / year; 75% of communes in the country meet New Rural Area standards. On this occasion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has awarded a souvenir flag to the leading unit of the emulation movement "The whole country worked to build a new countryside" in the 2011-2020 period for 33 collectives; awarded certificates of merit to 92 collectives and 94 individuals with outstanding achievements, making positive contributions to the New Rural Area construction program.
