MoU on New Rural Development Inked

Nam Dinh - July 17, after the plenary session, the scientific conference "Theory and practice in building new rural area in Vietnam" took place the signing ceremony between Vietnam Business Forum, Vietnam Post Corporation  with The National Coordination Office of National Target Programme on New Rural Development

                                

 Scientific workshop "Theory and practice in building New Rural Areas in Vietnam" is an important forum in the 10-year summation plan to build New Rural focusing on 4 contents: Solutions to strengthen rural-urban connection; Overall, integrated, ecosystem-based approach to new rural construction; Sustainable value system for rural development in Vietnam; Innovating the state management system for construction of rural areas: Current situation, orientation and solutions. The workshop aimed to deeply assess the nature of rural changes; identify impact factors; analyze problems of New Rural ; summarize successful lessons, good and creative ways; help forecast future contexts, opportunities and challenges and set out key issues to prepare for new model rural construction programs and new rural areas in the new period.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong and Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam and representatives of departments and institutes; representatives of leaders of provinces and departments; together with 115 scientists in the fields of economy, culture, environment ...

                               

Cooperation agreement to establish and develop the cooperation relationship between the Foreign Information Channel of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in promoting propaganda: policies and activities of the New Rural movement across the country. Promote and open opportunities for international exchange and cooperation to promote the international market of agricultural products in the OCOP program....

As of May 5.2019, Vietnam has about 11,200 agricultural enterprises, including agricultural enterprises and other field enterprises that invest in agriculture, the country has about 49,600 enterprises. 27,000 value chain production models have been established, high-tech application, forming a concentrated production area towards large-scale goods. At the ceremony, participants highly appreciated the move to bring OCOP products to the international market and through signing will promote trade as well as create policies for start-up businesses in rural areas opportunities to develop their products.
