OCOP Agricultural and Product Fair in the Mekong Delta Region

Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized the fair with the co-operation of Ben Tre Provincial People’s Committee in Be Tre from 6th June 2019 to 10th June 2019. Interested persons from the provinces in the Delta region and other provinces such as Southeast, Central Highlands, northern, central regions shows their deep interest in 350 booths.

Main purpose of the fair was to promote and introduce OCOP products of localities, sharing experience in organizing production, processing and product development among provinces in the Mekong Delta region and provinces participating in the fair, capturing market demands and consumer’s tastes. Since then, localities and economic organizations will have appropriate plans in improving models and standardizing product quality. At the same time, support to businesses, cooperatives, production households to expand market and improve domestic and international competitiveness.

In addition to the main activities of displaying, introducing and promoting agricultural products and OCOP products of provinces, cities, Ben Tre also integrated organizing seminars. Such as conferences connecting supply and demand of goods between Ben Tre and provinces and cities. Workshop “branding building and development”; Entrepreneurship workshop, “From indigenous resources to OCOP products – a way to conquer the market”; workshop “Potential and solutions for developing tourism cultural village in Cho Lach district on the basis of Rural tourism development”.
