Chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with Vietnam Handicraft Export Association (Vietcraft) and OVOP International Cooperation Committee (Japan), "The OCOP Network Connection Global ”and“ 2019 OCOP International Fair ”will be held from 17-20 April 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City. Expected to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue opening the Fair, hosting the Forum.

 The "Global OCOP Network Connection Forum" is organized with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the countries implementing OVOP or OCOP programs, promoting the OVOP or OCOP movement in the world in general and Vietnam. in particular; sharing experiences between countries in developing mechanisms, policies, resources and trade, promoting Vietnam OCOP Program globally; promote typical OCOP products of Vietnam to international friends as well as between localities across the country. Discuss trade promotion of OCOP program abroad, creating trade opportunities. Mr. Dang Van Cuong - Head of OCOP Program said: 2019 is the year before the deadline for the NTM program. Only after 8 months, 100% of provinces have developed projects for OCOP product announcement program. This is the first time to organize a program to connect the network of global OCOP products to: share experiences among countries implementing OVOP / OCOP movement; strengthen cooperation and exchange of mechanisms, policies, resources and trade to promote the world and Vietnam OVOP / OCOP movement; Promoting the role of Vietnam in connecting the world OVOP / OCOP movement to promote the global OCOP Vietnam Program, promoting Vietnam's typical OCOP products to international friends as well as among the above localities. country.

The 2019 OCOP International Fair was organized with the aim of promoting handicraft products, typical gifts and new designs of Vietnamese craft villages; create opportunities for enterprises to display and show products that show their creativity and identity for each product; strengthening and expanding trade promotion activities, creating an important point to promote and attract consumers and tourists at home and abroad, improving the competitiveness of products of enterprises and trade villages to produce goods for domestic consumption and export, creating opportunities for international visitors, importers, domestic and foreign distributors to approach OCOP branded products. OCOP International Fair in 2019 with the participation of about 600 booths from provinces, cities, professional associations nationwide. Especially the participation of representatives of OCOP programs in 20 countries and territories (Japan, Korea, Thailand, China, Kenya ... with nearly 2000 partners to trade, representatives of State management agencies, associations, production and export enterprises from nearly 30 countries and territories and many international organizations operating in Vietnam will attend "OCOP Network Connection Forum Global".
